This is fluffy.camp, the camp's one platform for Black Rock City 2026. Everything you need before and on playa lives in the tabs above — here is what each one does.
⛵ Arrival instructions
⛵ Arriving early? If you're coming in on Saturday 29 Aug you need an Early Access Pass — you won't get through the gate without one. Marco is first boots on the ground.
☸ When you make landfall
Come to the table on Esplanade where the cloud is and check in with a camp lead. We'll have your name on the list.
You'll get a wristband — that's what gets you access to the camp's shared resources, so keep it on.
Drinking water is unlimited, filled from the kitchen container. We have bulk water storage in camp, and there's a water refill station for RVs run on vouchers (same idea as the outside services) — vouchers are handled at the Esplanade table.
Please bring for the camp: one bottle of liquor and one case of beer per person. And a pirate outfit — that's the theme this year. 🏴☠️
When you leave, check out at the same table. A lead walks your zone, checks it for MOOP and photographs it.
☠ Take your stuff back. Anything you leave in the kitchen or the shared areas is yours to collect. Unclaimed things become MOOP, and MOOP is everybody's problem.
⚜ Bring a gift. Anything for the camp or for the playa on the camp's behalf is welcome and encouraged. Bringing all-in-one DJ decks earns you a set on crew night — we need a backup rig.
💰 Deposits: your $500 comes back if you turn up for the shifts you booked and don't leave MOOP behind. Attendance is recorded at each shift, so book what you can actually do.
The cloud is the ship. The ladder is the gangway. Everything below is playa.
Be it known to all hands that come aboard this cloud: the work is shared, the board is open, and no soul among us is above the swabbing of a deck. What follows is the whole of it.
1. One live board — everyone sees identical availability, updated live.
2. First come, first served — every booking is timestamped by the server, not your phone.
3. Hard capacity — the database physically cannot accept more people than a shift holds, even if two people tap at the same instant.
4. ? hours each is the minimum, not a limit — do more if you want to.
5. Waitlists promote automatically in join order when someone cancels.
6. Full audit log — camp leads can see every booking, cancellation and promotion, with times.

☠ On desertion. Miss a shift you booked and your name goes up on a wanted poster on your own board. It is not a punishment and no lead will mention it. Turn up to your next one and it comes down by itself. We have no brig, no plank and no lash. We have a list, and a short memory.
Ranks. Stowaway, then Deckhand at 2 hours, Bosun at 4, Quartermaster at 8, First Mate at 12, and Captain’s Own at 18 — at which point the camp owes you a drink.

What you agreed to when you signed up. All seven, in full.
- I will pull my weight. At least 8 hours of shifts, one of them a MOOP patrol.
- I will turn up. A shift I book is a shift I work. If I can't make it, I will find someone to cover it and book time elsewhere.
- I will leave no trace. My zone goes home cleaner than I found it, and I pick up MOOP that isn't mine.
- I will take my things with me. Anything I leave behind becomes the whole camp's problem.
- I will look after the crew. Water, shade, consent, and an eye on anyone having a bad night.
- I understand the deposit rides on this. $500 comes back for turning up and leaving nothing behind.
- I understand this camp is fully run by volunteers. No one is paid, this is the bare minimum and the more I do the better. This is not a vacation, it's an adventure that I get to affect.
Have a proper look around — every shift, time, spot count and who's already on it is open to you. Only the booking buttons are locked, until you're marked as paid. That covers camper fees, shiftpod or RV hookups and your deposit.
Book 8 hours of shifts. You cannot check in at camp until you have.
● Captain or Sailor? One big 12-hour shift, and you are exempt from MOOP and bathroom duty. Great responsibility, see the guide.
● Everyone else: start with a MOOP or Bathroom shift to unlock the board, then add shifts until you hit the 8-hour minimum.

☠ What each shift involves
Kitchen and the fresh water totes are on the left. Bathrooms and showers sit centre, just above the firelane, and that's where the RV water refill runs from. Burn barrel is top centre with a 20' safety zone around it. Chill zone and the dining area are in the middle, Tent City below.
Placements move. Check with a lead before you park.
So 10:00 & Helau is upper-left as you look at the map, eight streets out from the Esplanade. Walk toward the Man to find the Esplanade; walk away from it to reach the outer streets and the walk-in camping.

This makes a lock screen image for your phone. Phones go missing on playa constantly: they fall out of pockets at the ladder, get left on a bar, ride off in someone else's jacket. This image says "If found, please return to Fluffy Cloud, 10 & Helau" and it sits on your lock screen, so whoever picks it up can read it without unlocking anything and walk it back to camp.
Every Fluffer should have this on their phone before gates. It takes about twenty seconds.
Prefilled from your profile. Change anything you like — the preview updates as you type.
On a phone you can also long-press the preview and save it.
On iPhone: Photos → the image → share → Use as Wallpaper → Set Lock Screen.
On Android: Photos → the image → menu → Use as → Lock screen.
Save this to your camera roll before you leave. It needs no internet, no app and no battery beyond opening Photos. Emails and texts will not reach you on playa; this will.
Regenerate it if you change your bookings. On a phone you can long-press the preview and save it.

Only you can see these. End before start means it runs past midnight.
Defend the camp flag from the whole playa. Drag to aim — the guns fire themselves. Your best wave goes on the scoreboard.
Sail the cloud around the playa and scoop up treasure chests without hitting anything. Arrow keys or the pad below; best run counts.

Nobody has sailed yet.
Everyone in camp, and what they have on the board. Ranked by hours. This list is visible to the whole camp, which is the point.
Everyone by household. Give a wristband and a spot, then check them in. Dues must be settled for the household first.
People who have arrived. Record whether they left their spot clear, and return or hold the deposit.
